Enomaly ECP 3.5 Service Provider Edition Release

Enomaly is excited to announce the latest update to our Elastic Computing Platform for Service Providers. Version 3.5 is is a major release which includes full support for live migration of virtual machines, bandwidth utilization accounting, as well as numerous stability, security and performance enhancements. This release includes new translations of the customer UI, including Chinese (Simplified), Polish, Russian and Spanish.

ECP 3.5 is also fully enabled to participate in Enomaly’s SpotCloud Cloud Capacity Marketplace.  SpotCloud drives traffic and revenue to your cloud, and offers a way to monetize cloud capacity that would otherwise go unused. New Features

  • Administrators can now live-migrate individual VMs between ECP agent hosts or bulk migrate all VMs off a specific host for maintenance purposes.
  • Bandwidth utilization information is now available on a per Virtual NIC basis via the billing API.
  • Service providers can participate as a SpotCloud capacity provider/seller.
  • Improved VM IP detection. Addresses are discovered faster and more reliably.
  • Improved XSRF prevention with the addition of tokens for all API calls.
  • Addition of Chinese (Simplified), Polish, Russian and Spanish language translation for the Customer User Interface.

Enhancements

  • Installer updated to include CentOS/RHEL 5.6 support, native virtualization package support, and SpotCloud-ready pre-configuration.
  • Alternative provision policy option to maximize agent host resource usage.
  • Improvements to the locking and anti-duplication mechanism.
  • Improvements to the ECP API to provide transaction IDs on all new machine actions.
  • Improved VLAN management. Additional interfaces can be mapped to virtual networks to allow for multiple public/private networks.
